The end of the year is coming and signing up for next years reading challenges starts. I started blogging to late this year to sign up for the Debut Author Challenge hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. Therefore I’m quite excited to take part in this challenge.

The aim of this reading challenge is to read at least 12 young-adult or middle-grade books written by a debut author between 1.1.2012 and 31.1.2013. Yes, these are 13 months. Just to give everyone a chance to read books published in December. And of course we shouldn’t only read them but also review them and post the reviews on your blog or your goodreads profile.

Sign up go here and also read the official rules. And you can choose a button you like here.

The other reading challenge I’m signing up for is hosted by 10 bloggers, e.g. Donna @ Book Passion for Life. It’s the 2012 TBR Pile Reading Challenge!

I love the idea of this reading challenge. I’m really big in buying books and though I read a lot, a day (and a year) only has so many available hours if you still want to socialize a bit. Therefore my TBR pile is ginormous. And as I know myself I won’t stop buying books any time soon.

To see the challenge rules and to sign up go here. I’ll hope to achieve the highest level: reading 50 books. But we will see how disciplined I will be and what next year will bring in general.

Here are some books which are sitting on top of my TBR pile and I want to read during the challenge.

  • The Night Circus – Erin Morgenstern
  • Millennium Series – Stieg Larsson
  • Federation Chronicles – Lauren Dane (I only read the first book. Niw I read the first 3 books)
  • The Paranormals Series – J.L. Bryan
  • Paranormalcy – Kiersten White
  • The Sookie Stackhouse Series – Charlaine Harris
  • Uglies Series – Scott Westerfield (I actually read them in December 2011)
  • Hush, Hush Series – Becca Fitzpatrick
  • and roughly 150 other books …
