TGIF at GReads and Feature & Follow Friday (31)
March 16th, 2012 || Posted in Feature & Follow Friday || 14 commentsTGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger @ GReads. Every Friday Ginger asks a question somehow related to reading or books or anything else bookish.
Social Networking: Do you use Twitter or Facebook to promote your blog? How has it benefited your book blogging experience?
I do have a twitter account and a Facebook page. I’m posting my blog post on Facebook and occasionally people find my blog via these connections. But I’m definitely use twitter a lot more. It’s so much fun to interact with other bloggers and with authors. I never expected to get in so close contact with both publishers and authors and it’s great. I won ARCs, I found little tidbits from upcoming books, I connected with like-minded readers and I found new friends. And of course twitter is super practical for promoting not only your daily blog posts but also giveaways and other events. Works all the time! (The last time I announced a giveaway; somebody entered 2 min after posting, because she found it via twitter!)
Follow my Friday is a bookish blog hop hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read.
This week’s question:
What is the best book you’ve read in the last month? What is the worst book you’ve read in the last month?
While researching the answer for these questions I realised that I didn’t update by goodreads account. Duh! After re-constructing my reading from the last 2 weeks I concluded that the best book from the last few weeks was Dan Well’s Partials. It’s an amazingly captivating story with engaging characters.
The book I was most disappointed about was Little White Lies by Aimee Laine. Maybe my expectations were too high due to the very intriguing blurb. Anyway, I couldn’t connect at all with this book or any of the characters.

I’m really curious about Partials. I don’t know if it’s a book for me, but it looks so promising! And sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy White Little Lies. I saw it once and thought it sounded great, but.. : /

The main heroine is very loveable and pro-active and is carrying the story qite well. I also enjoyed the dystopian world created by Wells. And the book is fast-paced and entertaining.
